　　InthecontextofGermany'sKulturfilmphenomenon,WunderderSchöpfungwasamongthegreatestachievementsofthe1920s.Theproductionwasconstructed,rehearsed,andshotoveraperiodoftwoandahalfyears,underthesupervisionofHannsWalterKornblum.Theideatodescribetheuniverseandman'splaceinitwellsuitedUFA'sGrossfilmmentality,oneyearbeforetheMetropoliscatastrophe.Hundredsofskilledcraftsmenparticipatedintheproject,buildingpropsandconstructingscalemodelsdrawnby15specialeffectsdraughtsmen,while9camerameninseparateunitsworkedonthehistorical,documentary,fiction,animation,andscience-fictionsequences.Withoutstarrolesorevenprotagonists,thefilm'splotiscrowdedwithmeticulouslystructuredandskillfullyactedsinglescenesanartfulmosaicofsmallvignettes.Nolessthanfourcrediteduniversityprofessorsensuredthefactualbackgroundbehindthescientificandhistoricaleventsportrayed.
